We just love technology, and over the years our personal and professional lives have become full of gadgets.

But the problem is always the choice. Selecting what is best for you and negotiating the best deal takes hours and hours, what's more there is no guarantee that you will be happy with the product at the end of the process.

Then there's the delivery, installation and setup once your equipment arrives. And frankly this can become a bit of a nightmare.

This is why the team here at IT Supported have extended their procurement services to include all forms of electrical or electronic equipment from electric toasters through to video wall presentation screens, AVA Equipment, TV's and of course computers.

We will find you the best possible trade price on the equipment you required, will arrange the purchase for you and will undertake delivery, installation and setup on your site.

In return all we ask is that you pay us for the time we spend undertaking this work for you.

What type of equipment can we procure?

Literally anything with a plug! From domestic appliances right through to factory machinery, we will work with you to understand the requirements and will then approach our various trade accounts to get the absolute best price on the goods you require.

Procurement Examples

Microsoft Communications Server

We provided software licences and associated Microsoft Round Table hardware for an implementation of Communications server between offices located in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Falkirk, Manchester, Birmingham and London. Through the use of our trade accounts we saved our client just under £3,000. Our costs for providing this service was just £450.00

Projector and AVA Equipment

In Local Government we have procured AVA equipment saving them over £300.00 per unit and taking care of the installation at the same time.

Video Wall

When a new media agency wanted to refurbish their studios, not only did our engineers install all the structured CAT6 cabling and data communications equipment, but we also provided prices for 2 massive 57 inch LCD 1080p displays saving a total of £850 Per Unit!

Dell Inspirons

A firm of Architects approached us to help obtain discounted pricing from Dell on some new high specification graphical workstations. Working with our contacts at Dell we managed to save over £150 per workstation, at a cost to the client of just £80.

How does it work?

Simple, you tell us roughly what you want - for example "Hi I'd like a nice looking display panel / TV to fit in our reception area to run power point, it needs to be around 32 inches and wall mounted.".

We will estimate the amount of work which would be involved in procuring that for you - for example "Ok you need to send us some photos of where its going, and We'll start ringing suppliers, this will take us no more than 2 hours and will cost you between £40 and £80 + VAT.".

If we think we are going to be more than 2 hours we'll let you know at this point. Likewise if we feel a site visit is appropriate (as on some larger projects) then we'll estimate that too.

Once we have done our research we will provide what may be several recommendations with associated prices. We will also provide a quote for additional installation and setup services should you wish to use them.

On larger procurement projects - for example data cabling and networking a site visit will be required first.

All our costs and fees are transparent and made clear up front. Typically we can save a minimum of 20% on most retail prices, however there is no guarantee that we can save anything, this being the case some clients find it useful just to have an independent opinion on existing suppliers and costs, which we are more than happy to do. Do remember though, you are instructing us to act upon your behalf as an independent consultant, and this is a billable service.
